Blacky update: Kept Blacky in the garage over the weekend due to snow and cold. But he wants out each day. So even tho it was minus 3565668766453543 degrees Celsius today, the sun was out and I needed to let him out cause thats what he does. After shoveling for the 3rd time including the back deck, he took off and I thought, great, one of the coldest nights and hes not gonna come back for me to put back in the garage. Well at about 4pm he appears at my back door! Yay! I normally need to pick him up to take him in the garage. This time, I opened the back door to get him and take him in, and low and behold, doesnt he run into the garage on his own!!! Hes never done that! So you know its cold if he does that! His tale was full of snow and ice. But he ate, jumped on the heating blanket for a few minutes, then immediately jumped up into the rafters to his sleeping spot! Hoping hes going to make this a habit! I let him out almost everyday now, and never know if he will return. So far, all but one night hes returned. Plus, he is learning to trust me by letting him out and putting him back in. And he definitely is enjoying all the attention! Poor guy has never had anyone love him. So he gets plenty of holding, petting, and hugs while I freeze my ass off sitting with him in the garage while he eats and drinks. Seems to only eat and drink if Im in there. His water freezes so fast that I have to make several trips out with fresh water so he can drink before it freezes. And he does drink allot of water. So far so good!
