Blair Bear Volleyball Ladies opened their season last night with an exciting road win at the Plattsmouth Blue Devils. Bears split the first four sets, coming back from being down in the two wins! They then took the fifth set to win the match in an exciting 16-14 win! Go Bears! Didnt get any game pics, but Enterprise Sports Editor Jason W Brooks was there, so look for the story and hopefully a pic or two. Coach Mallory Lorence was pleasantly surprised with the road win and was looking forward to using this win as inspiration for the rest of the season. PS, proud of all of them and our grand daughter Taylor Stewart, a Senior Libero (5th in Class B in digs per set last year), who had several nice digs and who got a nice compliment from the Devils Coach. Though somewhat up and down for a first match , all returners had some game changing plays, Callie Alberico(S/RS), Katie McCaig(RS), Anna Weckmuller(DS), Erika Clark(OH), Kortney Smith(MB), Jenna Petersen(S/RS). Several first time Varsity players really stepped up their play in this match, including Sophs Tory Fultz(S), Olivia Frost(OH), and Frosh Sarah Wing(MB) with the game ending block!
