Blake was finally admitted yesterday, January 8, to start round 2 of his chemo treatments. We have had a longer block of time at home while waiting for Blakes platelets to come up. They did finally begin to rise this week, so he is on to round 2. Today was his first day of chemo medications, so far he is feeling okay! Because we are in the BMT unit (bone marrow transplant), Blake doesnt get to leave the floor for any events, but we hadnt started any treatments yet last night so he got to visit with 10 of the Pet Pals that come on Thursday nights. Each child gets to pick the dog they want a picture with. Blake picked the All American dog, as his owner calls him, Dandy. Im glad he got to enjoy his favorite animal (dogs)...from now he will be hooked up to the IV pole. Thank you for all the continued prayers! I am praying this round will not be as hard on Blake as the first round was!
