Blasphemy laws in Pakistan have been misused since their legislation. Salman Taseer , the assassinated Governor of punjab , pointed out this flaw in the system and consequently lost his life. I just want to ask the so called islamists whether islam allows anyone to violate rights of minorities? Is killing of a person permissible on account of a mere allegation of blasphemy ? Doesnt Islamic judicial system rest upon a rigid and strict mechanism of witnesses and evidence for giving a verdict? Isnt it the right of a court to suggest punishment after closing of evidence? If the answers of aforementioned questions are against those who kill people just for the cause of their extreme ideologies and distorted beliefs then how can a true follower of Mohammad Slwt ,the holy apostle, can say Mumtaz Qadri is a hero??? We love our prophet slwt and we need to prove through our pious characters and tolerant behaviors that we are preachers of Islam ; the true religion of peace. Violence is the last refuge to incompetent , violence can rule the bodies but love and peace can rule the hearts and souls.
