Bless you dear folks who normally sit in aisle seats. I switched to an earlier flight and therefore got stuck with one. Thats better than a middle seat, right? Hmmm. Ill get back to you on that one. I was bumped about three dozen times before the plane was even half full of people. Yes, Im in Coach in a fake exit row. I can handle this section with a window, but not an aisle. The seat Id expected is within arms reach, paid for (yes, he actually paid) by the guy right in front of me at check in. (He also paid for the middle seat for his wife.) Anyway, I now appreciate window seats (and First) more than ever. Thankfully I have my normal seat on the next flight and Im up front on the way back. Why am I in Coach when there are open seats up front? Im using miles, and thats the way it works: no upgrades on free flights. (I believe Delta is the lone airline that permits upgrades on award tickets, but theyre basically never available.) Onwards...hopefully with some sleep involved.
