Blessed Morning To love money is to lose sight of the Source of life. I Timothy 6.6 6 But godliness with contentment is great gain. 7 For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. Verse 10.For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. Paul gives practical instruction about money. He tells Timothy that the problem is not money itself, but the love of it. Love of money is improper because God is the giver of all our possessions, so they don’t really belong to us. There are four distinct groups of persons in this world. The Godly Wealthy the Wicked Wealthy, The Godly Poor and the Wicked Poor. All of us have at least two choices. We can all chose to be a Godly Wealthy or Wicked Wealthy, Because of circumstances, some of us have four choices. Focus on those of us who have a choice to be any of the four, and we know who we are. Deep down inside, because we have locked ourself into the false teaching. That to be Godly we must be Poor, we may have deliberately( purposely ) underutilized ( under estimate ) the abilities and opportunities that God has given you to be wealthy. If you are in that category, today is a great time to repent, ask God’s forgiveness, and be on your way to becoming a Godly Wealthy.. God has never stated nor suggested that poverty (extremely poor.) is a blessing. He has said, “Blessed are the poor in spirit…”, but never say, “Blessed are the poor”. He said, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness” Never has He said, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst”. Now where does God bless anyone with poverty (extremely poor). So if this applies to you, get out of your comfort zone. Find another reason or excuse for being poor.It is not a blessing from God. God takes full credit for the blessing of wealth, and admonishes ( advice) us to give Him all the credit and all the glory. “And you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth…” Deuteronomy 8:18. 18 But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today. Job understood it. Abraham thrived on it. Joseph saved a whole nation through it. And at the very lowest and most basic level, Paul exhorts that we should work to acquire enough for our needs, and to be in a position to give and share with those in need. Timothy 6:18 18 Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. As we learn to see that Christ is the source of all we have, we will find contentment in Him rather than in material possessions. When we seek godliness rather than riches, we will gain a desire to be faithful with what we have been given. Let’s deliberately cultivate an attitude of contentment in God, and faithfully submit to Him, for our Provider will care for us. May God Bless us this day to learn thankfulness for all that He have given us. Amen.
