Blessed Wednesday, October 29,2014, from very breezy St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. Today’s Meditation: ATTEMPTS TO BUILD A NEW FOUNDATION ON TOP OF AN OLD WILL RESULT IN PROBLEMS! Some years back, several of my leaders and I traveled to Atlanta to attend a prayer conference which was held at Bishop Eddie Long’s Church the week before that Church was officially inaugurated. Today, what appeared to have been a milestone, stands in disrepute and foreclosure by the bank. It’s been two years since my retirement as the Senior Pastor of a Church the Lord founded thru me. The Church Building stands as a testimony of God’s calling and guidance in bringing into being, a structure which is debt-free with a cost of $1.6 million. This Building was to stand as a testimony to the Lord as a house of prayer for all people, and especially for the French community where I was born and grew up in. What has taken place immediately after my retirement and to this day, is history. I believe that a word of caution needs to be stated publicly because any foundation already established on God’s Word and His instructions cannot be discarded and attempts made to install a new foundation. God is not the author of confusion. God will not take it likely when His plans are discarded as rubbish and the founder alienated from what God has established through him. SCRIPTURE: 1 Corinthians 3:10-15 New Living Translation (NLT) 10 Because of God’s grace to me, I have laid the foundation like an expert builder. Now others are building on it. But whoever is building on this foundation must be very careful. 11 For no one can lay any foundation other than the one we already have—Jesus Christ. 12 Anyone who builds on that foundation may use a variety of materials—gold, silver, jewels, wood, hay, or straw. 13 But on the judgment day, fire will reveal what kind of work each builder has done. The fire will show if a person’s work has any value. 14 If the work survives, that builder will receive a reward. 15 But if the work is burned up, the builder will suffer great loss. The builder will be saved, but like someone barely escaping through a wall of flames. PRAYER: Heavenly Father, as I and my wife have suffered through this ordeal, our hearts and prayers go to You, for the Leadership of the work we retired from. We ask You to move by Your Spirit to cause an awakening, to put to rest any attempts to destroy the foundations that have already been established by You. Lord Jesus Christ, You are the Chief Cornerstone, so Lord what can be built upon it that will last if it is not Your will. Father, we remember the flock that is being scattered. Keep them safe in Your everlasting arms thru Jesus Christ our Lord
