Blessed are all who fear the LORD, who walk in His ways. (Psalm - TopicsExpress

Blessed are all who fear the LORD, who walk in His ways. (Psalm 128:1) Dearly beloved, God promised king David that He would build a house for him. That’s why he said, O LORD Almighty, God of Israel, You have revealed this to Your servant, saying, I will build a house for you” (II Samuel 7:27). Yes, the Lord not only built a house for David, but also built up the life of each one of his household. He has established the name of David till today. We saw the city of David when we went to Jerusalem. Buildings constructed by him still stand today. They proudly call it, “David’s City.” Since he was a man after God’s own heart (Acts 13:22), God Himself built his house. But what happened when he failed once in his life? The Bible relates, “David had done what was right in the eyes of the LORD and had not failed to keep any of the Lords commands all the days of his life--except in the case of Uriah the Hittite” (I Kings 15:5). According to the above verse, David took Uriah’s wife because of which he suffered the consequences. He lost his son Amnon. Next, he lost Absalom too. Then David wept bitterly and said, O my son Absalom! My son, my son Absalom! If only I had died instead of you--O Absalom, my son, my son! (II Samuel 18:33). Besides, when David fell at the Lord’s feet and cried saying, “Lord, what I did was a grave sin,” He rebuilt his house and life. He raised his son Solomon up, whom he loved dearly, as king in his place. He gave him tremendous riches and wisdom. He blessed his descendants in such a manner to guide many. He also gave him the privilege of becoming the ancestor of the Lord Jesus. Dearly beloved, evil will befall those who sin against God, taking it lightly. Take a decision today and tell Him, “Lord, all these days, I was doing things that were against you. From today, I commit myself to be a faithful man/woman of your own heart.” The Bible says, “Blessed are all who fear the LORD, who walk in His ways” (Psalm 128:1). When you revere the Lord and live a blameless life by observing His commands, He shall build your house; He shall bless your home with peace and prosperity. He shall also bless your children with wisdom. Prayer: Loving Lord Jesus, I honour You with all my heart. I commit myself to be a faithful man/ woman of your own heart. I choose to do what is right in Your eyes and not fail to keep any of Your commands all the days of my life. Please bestow Your favour upon me and my family. Bless my home with peace and prosperity. In Your matchless name I pray. Amen.
