“Blessed are the eyes that see what you see. For I say to you, - TopicsExpress

“Blessed are the eyes that see what you see. For I say to you, many prophets and kings desired to see what you see, but did not see it, and to hear what you hear, but did not hear it.” (Luke 10) Prayer: Lord help us to believe. Thoughts: As I am sure many of us are aware many persons dismiss faith in God as hog wash and for the delusional. Many of them could go into elaborate reasons for their lack of belief, a lot of it based on hard facts and logic; or as the legal fraternity will coin it reasonable doubt. What is interesting though is these instances which create reasonable doubt in the hearts and minds of these individuals, exist for everything in life. Many things life has told us according to science, hard facts and logic we can depend on to go a certain way, have often disappointed us. For example, we believe when we place the key in the ignition and turn it our car is supposed to start and function, however if all conditions are not right then it won’t happen. Our reaction is not to believe in cars anymore, our reaction is to find the source of the malfunction and fix it. For some reason just like the disciples and persons of their time and before that, we have a struggle believing in a being we cannot understand or see but still makes His presence felt and known. God is so real and present to us; He does have a lot of mystery surrounding Him but He is still visible in our world. How is it we can believe in other things by observing others experience of it and wanting it for ourselves and we refuse to do the same with God? Many persons will answer that those things are real and proven of course through science most times and my response would be show me where science has proven God to not exist. We use things everyday and don’t possess the knowledge of how it works, and put our faith in it. Those of us struggling with God, take the leap. We do see and do hear that God is but we are taught for some reason not to believe. Start with a prayer........
