Bloodstone: The Magic Of Infinity And The Religion Of Sentience. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Oof. I downed three fifteen point two ounces of beer last night. I also, for the first Time in a long Time, became increasingly hungry and desired food to the point of feeling “satisfied.” I worried as I indulged my Body because I rarely feel that satisfaction with food any longer and I was concerned that it would trigger an episode of pain. I survived. I did get a moment of pain in the side but it only lasted about five or ten seconds. I found that odd but I was relieved that it only lasted that long. Oof. The beer almost knocked me out and left me in and out of sleep all day. Yuck. I much prefer sleeping hard and being awake like a normal person. I wonder sometimes. I was out of smokes and a roommate left me the credit card and mentioned filling up the car and getting a carton of cigarettes. There’s an old strange limiting trick some gas stations used to do where they wouldn’t allow credit card sales in multiples due to the phantom fear of the credit card thief. I was wondering if I ran into one of those gas stations of old tonight. I stopped by a Murphy’s USA that sells cartons at a reasonable price, filled up, walked in, and the credit card, though operational at the pump, was declined twice at the register for a carton. The cashier stated “it’s some kind of red error.” So, I was left not knowing if the card was maxed without my knowledge or was it an old credit card purchase policy that some gas stations used to use. There could be other reasons. It made me not want to go back there as it is, to my knowledge, the lone gas station of that area and I drove all the way in the other direction to get to a 7-11 and tried to get two packs, just to test the card, and not push the limit at the same Time. I think that way. If it is declined I’ll assume it is maxed, if it is accepted, well, uh, at least I got to packs. I don’t know how accurate the system is anymore so the other reason for just two packs is if it is accepted and the card is close to the limit it keeps the purchase low in price. My $11.00 purchase at 7-11 was successful. I walked out with two legally purchased packs of cigarettes. I then tried a double cheeseburger with fries and a Coke at the local and nearby Wendy’s and that also worked. As was the normal nature of that Wendy’s, they, for at least the fourth Time in a row, could not get things right. I am not amazed because I know how management styles operate in some fashion. See, the local Wendy’s isn’t into immigrant labor. It’s not one of those. Instead, they have management that’s into hiring dead beats. Managers that intentionally hire dead beats often do that for multiple reasons. One – they internally feel it gives them authority to prevent any competition rising up through the ranks. Two – it provides them easy scapegoats to blame when Regional Management stops by to terrorize them for shitty numbers. Three – it drives customers off and reduces the volume and allows them to sit around more. (I’m not joking). Four – the employees being dead beats allow them to bend the rules more easily too. My local Wendy’s hires mostly Americans and my local Wendy’s is an example of CRAPPY management and TERRIBLE hiring practices. What was wrong with this order? Oh, I had two wait about three minutes to get a double cheeseburger with medium fries and a medium Coke. My only comments were “no onions and no tomatoes, please.” The burger came with no lettuce as well and no mustard. The sandwich maker didn’t even get mustard on the burger and failed to put any lettuce on it…plus, despite there being lots of employees, they didn’t have fries ready. It’s a common mistake at crappy Wendy’s. It all comes down to the unwillingness to throw expired food away. They either make food and then let it expire and serve that anyway, which risks getting people ill and drives down volume as people don’t like cold fries and won’t return as often, or they won’t make anything until it is ordered and Wendy’s built its reputation on “fast and fresh” service. See, the secret to Wendy’s fast and fresh service is building volume participation and being willing to actually throw food away. Fries in bulk are CHEAP. Nuggets in bulk are CHEAP. If you do it right the waste is paid for and the volume overreaches any loss due to food being thrown out. But, nobody is brave enough to do it right. Too afraid of the work so they play games and either serve old food or they don’t have food fresh and ready to serve when you order. Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha. If you have a brain I don’t recommend working in places like Wendy’s because you’ll actually figure out the logical process of how it should be done and then forever be able to logically define why your local area store sucks. It is usually both management not adhering to the rules and workers hired to represent the managers involved. A lot of people don’t realize that managers often hire like minded or wanted style people. IF the workers are garbage, THEN the managers are the ones who soiled the place. That’s more realistic than most people realize. Logic. It’s often ignored. People tend to worship Wisdom over Intelligence for some reason. Wisdom’s downfall it that it follows. I OWN Wisdom that follows. I worship intelligence, not Wisdom. Wisdom won’t make a move unless it has been done before. Most of the past is mired in absolute failures. Why would anybody give themselves to Wisdom? Intelligence leads and one can’t be led to new frontiers if they are following the Wisdom of the Day. I’ve already told you Wisdom’s downfall. Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha.
