Bloody Tam airlines trying to make a few Quid on my flight, they only sent me an e-mail saying my flight to Manaus had been cancelled. So this morning i spent 3 hours on the phone and internet so i missed the England coach pulling into Hotel. Went online to accept that i had acknowledged the new flight details , it was arriving in Manaus at 2am, this made me not a happy traveller, i either wanted a price reduction or flight changed. When i phoned up i took a chance and said Im not happy because my friend was on the same flight and its still flying out early afternoon.. the lady told me its been put back in service but 10 minutes earlier, what a load of rubbish, more like they wanted to make an few extra Reais, so Im back on my original flight thank god. Left Copacabana at 11.30am hoping for a little action around Royal Tulip Hotel, the 557 was on another street, took 3 waits at different bus stops until the 557 stopped, the day wasnt getting any better until I got to Sao Conrado, always a surprise where Im concerned, wait for it!!!!!! On arrival at the Hotel 4 BBC cameraman were sitting in and around their hire car, English speaking, lets go and have a chat, first thing one of the lads said was QPR fan looking at my tattoo on my right arm, low and behold they all supported QPR.....Had a good chat with them about winning play-off final and all things England, now im hoping they will get me into the training session at Urca tomorrow, 11am. Nothing was really going on for an hour or so after i chatted with the BBC guys so i thought may as well head back to Ipanema, couldnt find the bus stop and ended up in MacDonalds , bought my Big Mac at 15reais and sat next to some Brazilian television crew, the reporter was very pretty, within 20 mins she had a phone call, get back to Hotel i assume, me not one to miss a trick thought going to follow these and see what the commotion is all about. All i can say is, it was worth the trip over to Sao Conrado, the photos will tell the rest of the story!!!..Come on England.
