Blue Grass Energy crews continue to work to restore power. As of 12 a.m. approximately 1400 members are still without power. Most of the damage was caused by high winds contained in thunderstorms that swept through the area earlier this evening. Numerous trees that were outside the right of way have fallen across lines causing widespread outages. Most members should have power restored Thursday morning with the exception of some members in the Cornishville area of Mercer County. Additional crews have been called in to assist with restoration efforts. Crews will continue working throughout the night to restore power as quickly and safely as possible.
