Blues Boot Camp Tutors 2014 Wayne Jury - Vocals and Guitar, Facilitator and Coordinator: Cert IV Training and assessment, Cert IV in Music. Professional musician (38 years). Singing teacher (20 years) Music Coordinator Echuca Moama Winter Blues Festival 2008, 2009, 2010 & 2011. Facilitator of Blues Boot Camp at Echuca Moama Winter Blues 2009 – 2013. He has over 30 years of performing experience, based in Sydney and gained respect as a singer/songwriter/vocal teacher and worked with some of Australia’s finest musicians and producers. Tim Neal - Hammond Organ specialist, Saxophone, piano/keyboards, accordion, flute and guitar. He was educated at Geelong College and the Victorian College of the Arts (Dip.Arts in Music), Diploma of Multimedia (A.B.D.C.) Certificate IV Small Business. He has recorded over 40 CDs and countless sessions for both Australian and International artists. Has taught at several music schools in Melbourne and Geelong including the Gordon institute. Currently teaches music at Geelong Grammar School. Tim has played with a multitude of international and Australian acts and worked in every area of the music industry that you can think of including music master-classes for the French Government. Sarah Carroll – Specialty Choir/Vocal coach. teaches ukulele at Ocean Grove Primary School and Barwon Heads Primary, singing for fun at Queenscliff Primary School, and conducts occasional singing and song writing workshops for young people in Geelong at The Courthouse Youth Arts Centre and at Bellarine Secondary College. She was the Director of The Tides of Welcome Choir, a 35 piece community choir based in Queenscliff, Victoria. She has worked in public radio for 20 years, and has been an announcer at 3RRR, 3CR and currently 94.7 The Pulse in Geelong. Sarah has performed music professionally for 20 years. Sandy Brady – Bass and stringed instruments Advanced Certificate in Music Performance (Jazz & Popular) in 1997. 2008 completed her Advanced Diploma in Music Performance. Sandy has toured both nationally and internationally and has performed at many major music festivals. She worked part-time as FReeZA Event Coordinator for the Courthouse Youth Arts Centre. (State Government funded initiative which assists young people between the ages of 15 to 25 establish a career in the music industry) Currently sandy is the Program Administrator for the Port Fairy Folk Festival. Dave Steel – Guitar, Slide Guitar, Mandolin is a veteran of the Australian music scene. (Four years with Weddings, Parties, Anything and seven years with Archie Roach). He has released eight solo albums, and has been nominated for several ARIA awards. He has travelled extensively in Australia, Europe, Asia, and North America as a performer. The release of ‘Blues and Ballads’ is a welcome return to solo acoustic mode for Dave. ‘Blues and Ballads’ is a deceptively simple acoustic recording which amply displays Dave’s instrumental and vocal talents and demonstrates the links between his own music and that of classic blues artists. He currently teaches privately and at A & B music in Geelong. Chris Wilson – has been an essential part of blues music in Australia since the late 1970’s. He is one our finest, vocalists, harmonica players and songwriters. He has performed and recorded with Paul Kelly, James Reyne, Renee Geyer, Archie Roach, to name but a few. Konrad Park – Drum Kit specialist, Chapman Stick: Cert IV Music. Konrad is an inspiring rhythm section artist, teacher and communicator, who has performed nationally for over 25 years. His strong groove and musicality has been the backbone for many of Australia’s great roots artists. He is regularly invited interstate to teach ensemble & private lessons. He has recently held workshops at Melbourne University for Rob Cossom (MSO) and Revolver Drums. Konrad continues to enhance drum kit education, taking lessons at three schools across the Melbourne suburbs. He has recently established Mobile Rock School, an elective rhythm section workshop for private students.
