Bluestocking Week is held annually to highlight the importance of higher education for women. This year’s theme is “Crossing the Line”, with a focus on fighting attitudes that seek to silence the voices of women, and to highlight the importance of women speaking out and sharing their stories and views. Events will be held from August 11-15, on campuses all around the country. The Tasmanian University Unions Women’s Department in collaboration with National Tertiary Education Union and the UTAS Women’s Collective have arranged a series of events to celebrate Bluestocking week.
