Bo has successfully completed 6 oral feedings in a row for stage 3 feeding (all breastfed, no bottles or SNS system thanks to the awesome attending doc today!) we found out that stage 3 is only for 24 hours, so tomorrow he gets his tube out and we can feed 100% orally! Bo is a rockstar and impressing everyone in the NICU, as babies rarely make it to stage 4 feeding before 35 weeks. Which means if all goes well with his eye exam on Wednesday, theres a good chance we could be taking him home on Thursday! I could cry at even the thought of that reality. Car seat test tonight, hearing test tomorrow, and eye exam Wednesday. Praying that Bo does well tomorrow eating and gains weight and his eye exam comes back normal. AND that the parent overnight room is available!
