BoJo’s Creamery in Austintown will hold a special promotion TONIGHT, giving half of the proceeds from its sales between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. to a fund for longtime WKBN Meteorologist Don Guthrie, who is battling cancer. The ice cream shop is located at 1412 S. Raccoon Road in Austintown. Guthrie is fighting pancreatic cancer and has been a WKBN meteorologist for 44 years. Those interested in donating to help the Guthrie family with costs incurred by Don’s treatment and not covered by insurance, as well as a Youngstown State University scholarship, can donate at any Huntington Bank location. In addition, a spaghetti dinner set for Sept. 20 will raise money for longtime WKBN Meteorologist Don Guthrie in his battle against pancreatic cancer. The dinner, originally organized by co-workers of Don’s wife Debbie, will be held at the Italian Fraternal Home in Girard, located at 33 W. Wilson Ave. and will last from 4 until 9 p.m. Tickets to the event, which will be held at the Italian Fraternal Home in Girard at 33 W. Wilson Ave. from 4 until 9 p.m., cost $10 per person, while those under 3 get in free. Those interested can call 330-233-5087 or 330-519-3043 to order tickets and get more information.
