Board of Corrections to discuss execution investigation The Board of Corrections will discuss the Department of Public Safety’s investigation into the execution of Clayton Lockett when it meets Thursday. Thursday’s monthly meeting of the board is its first since the report was issued Sept. 4 and the first since Department of Corrections Executive Director Robert Patton addressed the media, discussing his reaction to the report and plans to implement its recommendations. “We began reviewing the policies and protocols immediately following the execution,” Patton said during a Sept. 8 press conference. “It is our intention to adopt all the recommendations in the report that are within our authority.” For the full report, go to ecapitol.net
