Boarding is NOT a long term solution! Psychological side effects; compulsiveness (pacing, rocking, jumping), violent behavior, fear fullness, hyper aggression, eating disorders, separation anxiety, and depression. Physical effects; weight loss, over-grooming, self-mutilation, refusal to clean oneself, diarrhea, and the various effects of diseases. Im sorry but putting a dog in boarding long term is NOT saving his/her life...its extending his/her suffering. I understand the desire to want to save them all-I wish we could-but the reality is long term/indefinite boarding is cruel. Sorry No Kill Nation, but there are things worse than death.
