Boarding school construction in Marange to get assistance from President Mugabe In a move that was welcomed by the Johane Marange Apostolic church members, President Mugabe told the gathering that he was going to assist in the construction of a boarding school in Marange expected to be complete next year. He said that his assistance to the construction of that boarding school is as a result of the realisation that education is a form of empowerment to the people hence everyone must access that form of empowerment. The President said that Zimbabwe is number in Africa in terms of literacy rate hence the country should maintain that lead by building more schools so that children access education as it is a basic right for any child. He promised the gathering that he would make sure that various building materials needed for the construction of that boarding school which will enrol secondary school children would be made available so that the project materialises. It was a welcome move to the people as they showed the appreciation of President Mugabe`s offer by clapping hands and ululating as he addressed the gathering. People could be heard after the President`s address that President Mugabe is the people`s choice. "My vote will go to President Mugabe because he understands what we need as people", revealed to this writer Itai Shumba, one of the congregants. So it is a matter of time before July 31, 2013 come and people show the puppets of the west a political exit door.
