Bob Update (by Dottie): Yesterday Bob was out on our deck in the manual wheelchair for 10 minutes in the warm but cloudy weather. For the past almost 11 months he has only been out in the fresh air when being taken to and from ambulances. Today, a sunny day after morning rain, he was back out on the deck for 3 1/2 hours with visits from 3 of our neighbors plus Bonnie and her family, and then 1/2 hour massage from his Physical Therapist. Then, back inside for another half hour at the computer, he practiced reading from the computer out loud in preparation for next weeks visit from his Speech Therapist. Yesterday she installed Dragon software on our computer and started Bobs voice testing. Next week Bob will try to do voice-activated typing. Bob says he had a wonderful day and is encouraged by these new opportunities.
