Bob Welch was a member of Fleetwood Mac from 1971 to 1974, with his last album with the band being their first Top 40 album. In December 1974, he left the band and it took two people to replace him - those two people were Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham - and the rest is history. Welch went onto a somewhat successful solo career in the late 1970s, including a big smash with Sentimental Lady, a song originally recorded with Fleetwood Mac in 1972. By the 1980s, his popularity had waned. His 1981 single, Two To Do, only managed to bubble under Billboards Hot 100 at #107. youtube/watch?v=HVsCgnQX-zY
