Boko Haram: We Are Suspecting OIC – CAN The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Tuesday debunked claims by the Organisation of Islamic Countries (OIC) that Boko Haram members and their activities were anti-Islam. Musa Ayake, CAN Secretary General stated that such statement cannot be true, given the antics and background of the Boko Haram sect. Ayake told news men that “if they said they are not Muslims, they should meet with Boko Haram because the sect had told the whole world that they are Muslims, that they want to upturn Nigeria’s constitution and put in place sharia law. “These are Muslims; it is not only in Nigeria, look at other Islamic countries, there are killings also. If they are rejecting Boko Haram, it should not be on paper. They should tell us the steps and actions they have taken to show that Boko Haram and its activities are anti-Islam.” In addition, Sunday Oibe, CAN Director of National Issues, told news men that nobody would believe OIC view, due to the barbarism and act of violence committed by Boko Haram sect in the name of Islam. “They proclaim Islam; it is for them (OIC) to go and sort themselves out. These are people who have been taught and radicalised by Islamic clerics. In fact, we are suspecting the OIC. “Boko Haram proclaims Islam, Koran who want to enthrone Sharia in Nigeria. So who is fooling who? They are Muslims as far as we are concerned,” he added. Oibe further stated that CAN totally disagrees with participation of OIC in the forthcoming inter-faith conference scheduled to take place in Nigeria. “We don’t want OIC again in Nigeria. They like coming through the back-door. We don’t need OIC to organise inter-faith conference in Nigeria.” ~Daily Post. ******************************************** DISCLAIMER! And this statement coming from CAN? Who even made this man Secretary General of CAN? This topic will always rub me the wrong way no matter how many times I see or hear it simply cause I just cant stand ignorance. Period! Why should you judge a religion by the action of a group of terrorists??? Isnt Bokoharam similar to the case of the American Christian preacher, Jim Jones who eventually forced 900 of his followers to commit suicide in Guyana, South America in the late 70s or David Koresh in the 90s and Charles Manson before them in the 60s... Did the Muslims of those countries judge all Christians of the time for the actions of this group of people (terrorists)? No apologies, but Mr CAN Secretary General please shut your mouth, take a sit and do your research first. Your ignorance is so annoying! I just pity the ignorant christians who will follow your shallow-mindedness and be misled into the same erroneous judgment. Islam is totally innocent from the Boko Haram cult and its offshoots. Their ideology is completely opposed to Islamic teachings and their acts of terror and violence beyond comprehension. That being said, I do sincerely agree though that all Muslims should be at the forefront of the movemefnt to eradicate them and put an end to their havoc in Nigeria. May God help us!!! ~Kemmystry Sound off! Your thoughts/objections are welcome in comments...express yourself! *Kemmystry™*
