Bolivar City Fire Department JOB ANNOUNCEMENT January 30, 2014 Applications are now being accepted for, Fire Fighter, by the Bolivar City Fire Department, 312 S. Springfield, Bolivar, MO 65613. Springfield), they may be e-mailed to ([email protected]), or they may be faxed to 417-777-3212. Applicants must be 18 years of age at time of employment, must possess High School Diploma or GED, must have a Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record, must maintain all certifications as required by applicable NFPA mandates at the discretion of the city and must possess Accredited Certifications in the following: 1. Firefighter I & II (IFSAC)* 2. Hazardous Materials Operations Level* 3. DOT Approved Medical First Responder, a. (Candidates responsibility to obtain EMT Licensure within first year of employment) 4. AHA CPR for the Healthcare Provider Must be able to pass the following: 1. physical agility test 2. written examination 3. physical capacity test 4. background investigation 5. pre-employment drug screening *If candidate is currently enrolled in a State FF I & II class, it will be allowed. Candidate will have 90 days from completion of class to test to minimum requirements* Candidates selected for testing will be contacted the week of February 18th, for both written and physical agility testing to be performed on Saturday, March 1. Please include a copy of current certifications along with application. Special considerations will be made for current BCFD volunteer members. For guaranteed consideration, applications must be turned in by February 18th. Applications after this date will be accepted, but might not be considered.
