Bolney drew against Warninglid today. DT won toss and put Warninglid in to bat. They hit 206 for 4 with some good batting towards the end, forcing their skipper to declare. Barry and Mark Swain (making a welcome return) opened, making a good start, before Dunc and John Moore came together and put on 111 for the fourth wicket. Bolney were looking good for an unlikely close finish when John was out for 28. Duncan and James Elliot continued the run chase before DT was out for 70. Wickets fell and John Flower and Oliver were left to see off the final 8 balls to secure a draw. Oliver hit his first runs for Bolney (2) and Bolney finished 192 for 9. Warninglid were marginally the stronger team and had chances to win the game; they probably would have done on another day, but it was a drawn victory for Bolney today!
