Book-Reading friends...I have been reading, "The Guns At Last Light" by Rick Atkinson for a long time now. It covers WWII in Europe and is such a draining volume I had to read a few murder mysteries in between to get thru it. It is something all of us must read before we die!!! The number of people that parishes during this war is unbelievable. I knew we and our Allies and the Germans, as well lost so many men it is just unthinkable. But to read about the people of these nations that were over-ran by war and how they were starving to death, no home, no food....So...In the meantime I read, "Red Sparrow"...a really good spy novel, "Hotshot" a good little story and "The Silver Star"..another good little story to take my mind off the atrocities of war.
