Book Review... Rock Chick by Kristen Ashley I was expecting this series to be, shall we say, somewhat risqué. It met all the smut criteria: trade paperback, little known publisher, fancy matching book covers. It wasnt. Instead it was very Janet Evanovich-esque: a ditzy but likeable heroine, a hunky PI, and LOTS of bad guys. Replace Jersey with Denver, Colorado, rename Stephanie Indy, combine Morelli and Ranger into Lee Nightingale, and youve got yourself a book! There were many, many characters...sometimes too many to remember who was who. The F-word was over used... liberally. Crazy stuff happens way too often to our unsuspecting Indy. But all in all, this beginning of an 8 book series held my interest, made me chuckle, and was a pretty good story. Ill be checking the remainder of the series out tomorrow. If they are anything like Indy and Lees story, I wont have them long! ;)
