Book review: Unexpected by Amity Cross. This is the first book in the Unexpected trilogy and was free on Amazon. I havent decided if Ill continue on with the trilogy or not, but hot damn! This book was smokin up the sheets from about page three onward! Blair saunters into a bar just looking for a small reprieve from her craptastic life. She meets Mr. Dark and Dangerous, not knowing hes THE Jake West, lead singer from Affliction. All she wants is a one-night stand with no names and no strings. But Jake cant let her go and pursues her. Its a pretty great cat-and-mouse game with lots of soul-bearing stuff in between. I loved Blairs tough-as-nails exterior - she was such a ballsy lead character. Id give this a 5-star, especially since it was free, and makes you want to keep reading the series.
