Booking my business flight to Baltimore I noticed on United Airlines if I fly from Milwaukee to Chicago to Baltimore its $100 less than booking the Chicago to Baltimore flight on its own. I call United to inquire if there are any cons to booking out of Milwaukee but not taking the Milwaukee flight and leaving from Chicago. Just showing up for the ORD to BWI leg of the flight. The supervisor (who talked over me - he was irritated he had to get on the phone with me but I couldnt understand his CS rep) said I would receive a large change fee. I said what if I missed the Milwaukee flight and had to drive to Chicago to catch the connection (5 hour layover in ORD). Well thats different he said and he didnt know how they would handle it but they may cancel the 2nd leg of my flight. I told him I would stay with American Airlines and thank you for reminding me why I dont fly #UnitedAirlines . He in turn asked if he could help me further and I was to have a nice day.
