Boone... Super Nationals... Its hard to describe. In fact almost impossible to describe to people who dont go to the races -- The atmosphere, the people, the race cars that come from all over the country, the prep work, the work that IMCA puts into the event to make it possible, the crowd, the competition the best of the best, and most of all trying to explain what it means to win. Peoples first response is how much does it pay. But the reality is its not about money. Its any mans dream come true to be at the top of the podium on Saturday night. For me its a love hate relationship. The whole week is full of mixed emotions from the good to the bad.... But once again it was all worth it. Shannon Anderson 2014 Super Nationals Champion! You are the best! You drove a perfect race. Your starts were awesome! The kids and I are proud! The memory is priceless! I want to say thanks to all our sponsors, friends, and family! A special thanks to Andrew Burg. Every time I have worn your shirt on race day Shannon has won. I pushed every single one of Shannons buttons this week on purpose. From telling him he needs to try a different setup, to him be terrible on small tracks, to telling him he is going to get passed on the high side if he doesnt loosen his car up, to asking him after he won by a straight away in his qualifier if he had enough gear to come off the corner. I told Haley Senecaut he never loses when he is out to prove me wrong or is just plain irritated with me lol so thats exactly what I did. Im sure I was driving him nuts. But the moment I knew it was our night is when we were all loaded up in the truck and the first song came on the radio. I knew from that moment we were going to have a good night. A big thank you to everyone who helps out with the kids at the track and especially Morgan Philipsen and Judy Anderson. Our season is not over yet. We are still chasing a National Title....
