Boots on the ground....this seems to be something to be feared greatly. If this is true, WHY then did we put boots on the ground in our newest military venture, The War Against Germs in Africa....predicted by scientists to last 12 to 18 months. This enemy could be much more lethal than ISIL. Microbes and viruses are NOT prejudiced...they kill Sunni, Shia, Christian and Jew; black, white, brown and any color in between. THIS is a war in no uncertain terms and Im afraid if I was sent there, I might have to decline. When our military are sworn in, this is the oath: I, [name], do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God. Where does it say to go to Africa to fight germs? President Obama uses the United States military as HIS personal army. Its well established that as a military man, you are NOT to follow unlawful orders. Placing our military in harms way should be a very serious decision. WHAT will they do there? WHEN will they leave AND how many will die and for what purpose? If ever there was a political motive for an incursion, THIS is it. Viruses throughout history have been much more formidable than ANY military force.Having studied and taught World History, I would suggest THIS new war is the more deadly potentially for America than ISIL. Whole civilizations have disappeared because of deadly viruses. My neighbor across the street died from a virus he contracted on a Friday night and he was dead by Sunday. He was in perfect health. The virus? A close friend who was one of his doctors said there was nothing they could do. AND they didnt have a clue what it was. EBOLA? Coming to a neighborhood near you? I hope not.....I say, quarantine Africa until it runs its course. Sending troops??? Just another brilliant decision by our Commander-in-Chief. DEFEND the Constitution!! THAT is the oath...not being the nurse to the world. Heartless? No. Realistic. NO cure means NO cure and WHY go there? Please explain, Chairman of the Joints Chiefs......NOT Obama, but a military man.
