Born in Bonac It was a Monday morning, the beginning of another week. It had been less than a decade since the end of the great conflict. Hitler and his cronies had been defeated by the axis forces. The world was free again but a new threat loomed large in the mind of the public, the threat of nuclear annihilation. Just last month the traitors, Ethel and Julius Rosenberg had been executed at Sing Sing prison. Eisenhower was the president and Richard Nixon his vice president. That alleged commie, Charlie Chaplin, has fled the country. Before this day was over there would be another footnote in history. This footnote would be my birth.
