Born on a Blue Day By Daniel Tammet A savant with Aspergers syndrome is rare in itself, but rarer still is the authors ability to describe how he sees numbers in colours and shapes and how he feels emotionally about his day to day life. Its breathtaking to think that he recited Pi to 22,514 digits and was interviewed on Icelandic TV, in Icelandic, having learned the language from scratch in a week. But his ability to describe his mind is compelling and revealing and rather humbling. This book is so easy to read and so enlightening, its almost the real life version of The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night. A must read book.
