(Borrowed from CotR) The folks who passed Obamacare and then read it found a surprise: Guess What! Congress Is Upset About What Obamacare Might Do To Their Own Insurance Premium Costs. No Joke. I cannot stop laughing at this. According to that sourcelink, all kinds of lawmakers and congressional staff folks are thinking about quitting or retiring because, get this, they are afraid of how much their insurance premiums are going to rise under Obamcare. HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA! No seriously. See, government-subsidized premiums are going bye-bye at the end of the year under a provision which THEY THEMSELVES wrote into the law, which is supposed to encourage lawmakers and aides onto the government exchanges. Which will make their benefits more expensive. And I think I can safely speak for most Americans when I say, “Waaaaaah!!!!” Both Democrat and Republican leaders are waiting for more detail from the Office of Personnel Mgmt about how the rule will work – and that detail is apparently due by the fall. Because, obviously it would have been out of the question for Congress to have considered these things BEFORE PASSING THE BILL IN THE FIRST PLACE. There was one quote in the article that really made my blood boil, from Rep. John Larson, a Democrat from CT who said that if the problem isn’t resolved, then, “I think we should begin an immediate amicus brief to say, ‘Listen this is simply not fair to these employees. They are federal employees.” Um…WTF is that supposed to mean? Are they somehow more important than EVERY OTHER AMERICAN who is facing the exact same crap from this exceptionally disastrous law? Rep.
