Borrowed from Todays Lesson: So let our lips and lives express The holy gospel we profess; So let our works and virtues shine, To prove the doctrine all divine. —Watts Heavenly Father, I thank You that Youve blessed me today to wake up this morning. Father God, I thank You that Youve blessed me with Your Son, Jesus Christ, that through Him Ive found forgiveness & the living water that renews everything. Father God, I thank You that Youd given us today to celebrate a man that not only knew of Jesus but believed in Him, wholeheartedly, that He spoke out on the equality of ALL races & genders. Father God, today we celebrate a man who didnt believe in violence but believed in Your unconditional, steadfast, everlasting & eternal love - that wasnt afraid to speak of it to EVERYONE that Hed met. Father God, I pray that You may bless me with the courage, strength & boldness to speak of Your unconditional love & forgiveness so that others may come to know You, too. Not because of anything that I may have said or done, but by Your holy spirit touching them through my speech, mannerisms & actions. In Jesus name I pray & ask all of these things, Amen. Todays Summary: Jesus’ death forgave my past sins and inspires my present obedience.
