Bortles ‘aces’ test for NFL reps, experts ORLANDO — In front of representatives from at least 22 NFL franchises, arguably the nation’s top NFL prospect, Blake Bortles, took to the field at Nicholson Fieldhouse on the UCF campus Wednesday with his sights set on selling NFL teams on his skills. The Oviedo native threw to former UCF teammate Jeff Godfrey and former NFL wide receiver Brett Swain. His workout was run by his quarterbacks coach Jordan Palmer, a member of the Chicago Bears, and Palmer collaborated with Bortles to script a workout of about 70 throws. “It went well,” Bortles said. “I showed I fixed the footwork and the things that were flaws on film.” Since being pegged as one of the Draft’s top passers, Bortles has taken every opportunity to prove himself to the teams sitting atop the draft.
