Bos 215 Favourite Songs of the Millennium 3. Last Nite - The Strokes (2001). (To the world)....so.....haaaaave you met The Strokes? Is This It? by the Strokes is one of the most influential albums of the millennium. These guys suddenly made it cool for skinny, geeky looking dudes to get behind rock instruments and tell stories of fun times and late nights, knocking the Godawful Limp Bizkit (and co.) out of fashion. Without that album, particularly this lead track, we would have no Arctic Monkeys, no Kaiser Chiefs, no (early) Bloc Party, no Libertines, no Yeah Yeah Yeahs. How much richer are we with these bands in our lives? I cant measure it. Thank you, Strokes. Thank you!
