Both Chauncey and Mozilla got their first title last week as Canine Good Citizens! This is a test has 10 items to pass: Accepting a friendly stranger. Sitting politely for petting. Allowing basic grooming procedures. Walking on a loose lead. Walking through a crowd. Sitting and lying down on command and staying in place. Coming when called. Reacting appropriately to another dog. Reacting appropriately to distractions. Calmly enduring supervised separation from the owner. My hope is to get them both involved with Emotional Pet Therapy and start volunteering in schools, retirement homes, hospitals, etc after they are certified at a year old. Any advice on the subject is much appreciated!
