Both me and Phil stopped riding our motorbikes when Alek got his diagnosis of Cerebral Palsy. We couldnt justify the cost of a bike each nor the cost of any potential further injuries riding in and around London. I suppose it just wasnt fun anymore as we knew how dependent Alek was on us to be able to help him fulfill his potential. Alek as most small children with CP had huge problems sleeping. He used to love the sound of our v-twins so there were times when we actually resorted to starting the bike in the front garden just to settle him :) Well, today Mike lent Phil his suped up bike and leathers so he took it out for a spin, its been almost 10 years! Alek got really excited and wanted a go! This would not have been possible before the operation; keeping his feet on the pillion pegs and being able to hold on. Here is the proof of Aleks first mc ride ever (outside of mummys tummy) captured by Mike from the window of his gym! Cheers Mike- you made a little boy (and a big one) very happy today
