Bottle rockets were not the only thind shooting up over the holidays...Friday was another nasty day in the mortgage rate world. i felt like a one legged man in ass kicking contest. so YES rates moved above 5% on Friday. Now What? that is still very close to historical lows. If your looking to buy a home..NOW is the time..as rates will only move closer to 5.5% as jobs improve and our governments appetite for mortgage loans decline. If you have ARM loans or HELOCs now may be a good time to take adv of higher home values and lock in a 30 yr FIXED rate. Hope you had a GREAT 4th Your Favorite Banker
