Bought myself an early Christmas present. I could not afford most - TopicsExpress

Bought myself an early Christmas present. I could not afford most of the books at Barnes and Nobles. Whos going to pay $27 or $36 for a book! I called in to the library and put those on hold. I am number 10 I will have to wait but, good God. They wonder why people dont read any more its almost as expensive as skiing as a sport! LOL! I got a paperback Paris to the Moon by Adam Gopnik. A New York family that leaves the Big Apple to start over in Paris. I love books like this because I fancy the idea of retiring in Europe when I am older. Who needs Florida! Social security checks can be sent anywhere in the world. I read about one retired American who lived out his retirement in Argentina. So, I think one year in Italy, one year in Spain, and one year in France. Then, if I live long enough I will choose between the three to live out the remainder. Got to have a plan! That way I can visit all the wonderful museums, dine on excellent food, soak in all the old architecture, and live and die in a cultural oasis. There are 50,000 Americans living in Paris that is more than in my town in America now. Here it is 38,000.
