Bovine rescued, one bovine smuggler held in Udhampur Jammu, September , 4 th : Udhampur Police today rescued 04 bovine animals and arresting 01 bovine smuggler at Jakhani Udhampur. Reports said Police laid a surprise naka near Jakheni in the wee hours and intercepted a Mahindra Vehicle bearing Registration No. JK02AQ-3844. During the thorough search of vehicle, 04 bovine animals found loaded in the said vehicle. All the bovine animals were rescued and 01 bovine smuggler namely Rashid S/o Hussain R/o Kotbalwal Jammu was arrested on the spot. The vehicle used by the bovine smugglers for transporting the said bovine animals was seized. In this connection, a Case FIR No. 272/2013 U/S 188/RPC 3 PCA Act stands registered in P/S Udhampur . Moreover in district Ramban Police today seized a Truck illegally carrying bovine animals towards Kashmir valley for selling purposes, rescued 11 Bovine animals during Naka checking at Higni Ramsoo. Reports said soon after receiving information about transportation of bovine animals towards Kashmir Valley, Police personnel laid a naka on the National Highway at Higni Ramsoo. During checking, Naka party intercepted a Truck bearing Registration No JK02U/2771 which was illegally transporting 11 bovine animals towards Kashmir Valley. The Vehicle along with bovines has been seized. In this connection a Case FIR No. 27/2013 U/S 188 RPC, 3 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Ramsoo.
