BoxRun Marathon # 36 has just finished about 22kms west of Charlottetown, P.E.I and it was a beautiful, clear sky with just enough wind to cool me off . I ran the first 25.5 kms feeling great with no pain in my body for a change, I stopped for lunch and was visited by the Charlottetown Guardian, the provincial paper and had a quick bite of pasta that Quinn Geddes made and Melissa Fenton Geddes said you couldnt cook buddy, Quinn is stepping up everywhere and helping me anyway he can, I have never been so impressed !!!!!The last 17 kms went through about 5 towns, unbelievable and have the pics to prove it!!!P.E.I has been so scenic especially the last 8.5kms through rolling hills and I was accompanied by Susie Mowers and Gary who ran a total of at least 10kms for his friend that he dedicated today to, Karen Welk , whom is from Newmarket Ontario and she had been diagnosed with bone cancer but is doing well with her treatment and Gary and Karen go back to when they were infants and thats why he wanted to run today so much which he hasnt done since he was a teenager. Todays Sponsor of the day goes to Carole Lewis and Chris Corke from Lama Island, Hong Kong and donated $1000 dollars to the cause. They have about 10 properties that are affordable on Lama Island and it is so affordable for westerners who are looking for monthly vacation or work placements and want to stay away from busy Hong Kong. Also Chuck Moscatos donation of a $100.00 has gone through from his bet that he lost to us when the Habs beat the Bruins, I dont know here Chuckie got it, but now the BoxRun Charitable foundations has it!lol!!!!BoxRun Marathon #36 has ended but will forever belong to Karen Welk from your lifelong friendship to Gary which is our word of the day.
