Boy, this year, we had a serious TICK problem in our dog yard. We never ever saw anything like this at our little pound. We mowed down, spray an entire yards, bathed & dipped all the dogs AND handpicked every single tiny ticks from every single dogs every week! And repeat.....and repeat ...and repeat. We literally spent HUNDREDS of dollars to fight against these annoying blood suckers :( We basically can NOT afford to put expensive flea/tick preventives like K-9 Advantix II on every single dogs comes under our care, BUT we had to do it this year, just no choice left. HUGE THANKS to ALL the generous donors!!! This summer, your generous donations went straight to purchase these flea/tick preventives! And it helped a LOT!!! Picture is Carol, a PETbull mix who came to GDA in horrible skin condition( from fleas & mange) few month ago. She was another a hot mess girl, though, Look at her now! Isnt she pretty? She got her beautiful hair back! Carol, too, finally is able to join adoption!
