Boys discover their place in the world by pushing all of their bodys limit. It is not just fighting but also being able to fart or burp the loudest or the longest that gives the boy bragging rights. Some men who are mentally growing, have grown beyond this basic instinct. But some are still having this egoistic mind... they are still holding on to this idea in the name of being natural..and just growing physically but not mentally.
