Brandon West I have got a bit of a strange one which I need help with. I am on the 33bhp restricted licence and whilst riding home from Derbyshire to Milton Keynes on my Bandit 600 I got stopped by an unmarked M3 for doing 85 on a 70 at 7 in the morning, I know stupid me! I got a telling off about the speed I was going at, he then asked to see my licence and when he noticed I was on the restricted licence his mood changed and he told me he would be seizing the bike as I had no proof the bike is restricted and it will be examined to check the restrictors. I had to call up a friend to come and pick me up, and over a week later I am still fighting to get the bike back. The examiner has said there and no restrictors in place, which I know there was as I fitted them, I commute 140 miles every day for work so I would not risk it, and I think I would realise the difference in performance. How can I prove the bike was restricted? Is there any chance of arguing someone must have taken them out? I should be collecting the bike tomorrow evening but on a trailer. I know I am most likely to loose my licence but I thought worth asking for any advice and if anyone has had this? Thanks in advance, and wish me luck!
