Break Down Of Galatians We are going to break down this - TopicsExpress

Break Down Of Galatians We are going to break down this epistle historically; the latter was addressed to all the churches of Galatia, the Galatian churches had come into the salvation of Jesus Christ as a result of Paul’s missionary labors. The apostle Paul was especially exercised in spirit when he learned that some Jewish’s had came into the fellowship among these Gentile converts seeking to impose circumcision upon them and the Mosaic law upon them as necessary for salvation (Gal. 1:1-7; 4:17; 5:10). Writing under great stress, he dealt with the issue squarely more boldly by giving this epistle to the Galatians confronting them about the Judaism error, for the leaders of this false religion was sifting the authority of the sheep from the shepherd. The first 2 chapter He is restoring his apostolic authority over them by revealing the nature of His apostleship in verses one he said Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;) And all the brethren which are with me, unto the churches of Galatia: Gal 1:1 Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;) Gal 1:2 And all the brethren which are with me, unto the churches of Galatia: The apostle Paul’s main meaning of revealing his apostleship was because of his opponents that was against him, if they could deceive the Galatians by convincing them of salvation through the Mosaic circumcision then they would questioned their salvation by Christ alone and that Paul had not been called to preach the truth, then the church could justly question his message .He had received his Gospel not through human instruction but the divine revelation of Jesus Christ, and it proved to be in agreement with the other apostles Gal 1:3 Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, Gal 1:4 Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: Gal 1:5 To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. Paul state in verses 6-16). That the message of the Gospel is a message of grace that calls for faith by Christ only. For the law dose not produce the faith of Christ, but rather works of the law that placed us under the curse, from which Christ had to redeem men from. But receiving the Gospel through Christ would empower them by the Spirit to do the works of that of Christ rather than of efforts to keep the law. Gal 5:8 This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you. Gal 1:6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: See in Gal 1:6 Paul mentions to some of the Galatian Church that those who was so removed from the Father that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: for this reason THE apostle Paul calls this grace his grace when he said in the book of Php 1:7 that they was partakers of his grace for Paul calls it his grace, so the father called them in the salvation of Christ through Paul’s ministry and his co- labors Php 1:7 Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace. Php 1:8 For God is my record, how greatly I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ. Gal 1:6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Gal 1:7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. Gal 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. Gal 1:9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. Is it possible to keep the Gospel of Jesus Christ after receiving it the first time? It’s easy to come into salvation; it’s the going from Glory to Glory part. Another words the saints need help, this is why the apostle sent the epistles, so that the church would keep the revelation of Christ fresh in their hearts, and not by hearing it just once but many. So when Paul seen an error in one of the churches he was able to preach a revelation by the Spirit that would shift their mind back into the Spirit into the mind Christ for Paul said follow me as I follow Christ. They cannot stay in board if we preach it one time we need to preach it until they stay on board, for this reason Paul said in Gal 4:19 My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you, Gal 1:10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ. Gal 1:11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. Other words we need to preach the Gospel of Christ till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; Eph 4:13,14 We need a revelation after revelation after revelation after revelation of Him, so we can carry the cross daily and follow Him. The truth of having the revelation of Christ is to have the ability to die. This is why peter denied the Lord at first because he didn’t have the ability to die for Him. But when he got the baptism then he was crucified upside down for the cause of Christ, now he was accounted worthy of His suffering. 2Ti 1:8 Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;. See too many people in the church want Jesus but they don’t want the death side of Jesus. Gal 1:12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ. If we stop preaching the Gospel of Christ by the Spirit 2 degrees off then the Church will get off the Gospel of Christ into another that sounds like it. We as ministers are commissioned by God to do what Paul is doing in the book of Galatians, he had to continue to remind them over and over again. The Lord told me one time through the mouth of Prophet Douglas that it is heard to watch people grow in the Spirit? Verses 13 below Paul mentions of his old manner of life in conversation in time past in the Jews religion, how that beyond measure he persecuted the church of God, and wasted it:? Why does he mention this was it because he had trouble forgiving himself no. That wasn’t it. It was because he never ran from the fact that he murdered the Christians but was fighting against Christ with the way that he and the Jews religion, believed even thought they was professing Godliness and thinking they was doing God a favor. Gal 1:13 For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it: Gal 1:14 And profited in the Jews religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers. Gal 1:15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mothers womb, and called me by his grace, If the preacher doesn’t have a ramah revelation of Christ in his messages then get away from them for the bible says to know them which labour among you, for they watch over your soul or do they ? 1Th 5:12 And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you; Heb 13:17 Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you. Heb 13:18 Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly. Heb 13:19 But I beseech you the rather to do this, that I may be restored to you the sooner. Gal 2:1 Then fourteen years after I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, and took Titus with me also. Gal 2:2 And I went up by revelation, and communicated unto them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to them which were of reputation, lest by any means I should run, or had run, in vain. Gal 2:3 But neither Titus, who was with me, being a Greek, was compelled to be circumcised: Gal 2:4 And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage: Gal 2:5 To whom we gave place by subjection, no, not for an hour; that the truth of the gospel might continue with you. Gal 2:6 But of these who seemed to be somewhat, (whatsoever they were, it maketh no matter to me: God accepteth no mans person:) for they who seemed to be somewhat in conference added nothing to me: The Gospel of the ucircumcision was committed to Paul to preach to the Gentiles; and Peter was commission to preach the Gospel to the Jews Gal 2:7 But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter; At first peter was struggling with the fact that God wanted to pour out His Spirit on the Gentiles until God lead him to Cornelius and revealed him the truth about God excepting them; but still had a problem with Pauls doctrine of Salvation of the uncircumcision to the Gentiles. The same power of the Holy Spirit was on the Gospel of the circumcision, the same was mighty in Paul toward the Gentiles. What I’m trying to say is that they both had the same power Gal 2:8 (For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles:) when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given unto Paul, they gave to Paul and Barnabas they supported them so that they could preach it to the heathens, even though peter was the only one why didn’t support him at this time. Gal 2:9 And when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we should go unto the heathen, and they unto the circumcision. Gal 2:10 Only they would that we should remember the poor; the same which I also was forward to do. Gal 2:11 But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed. Gal 2:12 For before that certain came from James, he did eat with the Gentiles: but when they were come, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing them which were of the circumcision. Gal 2:13 And the other Jews dissembled likewise with him; insomuch that Barnabas also was carried away with their dissimulation. Gal 2:14 But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before them all, If thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews? Gal 2:15 We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles, Gal 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. Gal 2:17 But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid. Gal 2:18 For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor. Gal 2:19 For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God. Gal 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. Gal 2:21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
