Breakfast! Often referred to as the most important meal of the day. Today Erin made a BIG pre-training breakfast - heres what it was: 1 egg with yolk, 2.5 egg whites, 2p. Sourdough toast, one low fat ham steak and an apple crumble with 1oz raspberries and 2tbsp of fat free cool whip. This breaky was a total of 548 calories with only 10g of fat and 42g of protein. Compare this to a Tim Hortons breakfast - a medium coffee, one cream, one sugar; a regular bacon and egg sandwich on an English muffin with a hashbrown. This meal comes in at 555 calories - so almost the same. However - this breakfast option has 19g of fat and only 28g of protein. The devil is always in the details of what you choose to fuel your body with!
