* Breaking News* A man accused of murdering a woman during a carjacking in El Dorado Hills was arraigned Friday afternoon. Anderson Swift, 41, of Oakland, was arraigned in Department 7 by Judge Dylan Sullivan on seven counts. After being appointed the Public Defender’s Office as counsel, attorney Mark Ralphs entered a not guilty plea to all counts and special allegations. The complaint was read by Sullivan: The murder of Khrista Ibarolle, 31, of El Dorado Hills, with a special allegation of using a firearm that caused death and special circumstances of having been committed during a robbery and carjacking; carjacking, with a special allegation of use of a firearm; felony robbery with a special allegation of use of a firearm; the attempted robbery of Kesha Patrice, who was with Ibarolle outside of the 36 Handles Pub, with a special allegation of use of a firearm; attempted carjacking of Patrice’s Hyndai Sonata, with a special allegation of use of a firearm; possession of a firearm by a felon, with seven prior felonies; and the carjacking of Caesar Grandino in Oakland. Sullivan noted that the seven felonies spanned from 1994 in Alameda County to 2012 in Contra Costa County. One was a strike, firing into a dwelling. The case was then set to be heard in Department 1 on Feb. 2. Discovery was expected to be collected by Jan. 20. After the hearing, prosecutor Bill Clark said the hearing went as expected. “No shocks, nothing unusual.” He said of the seven prior felonies, the firing into a dwelling, a strike, is the most serious. There were also convictions related to the sales or transportation of narcotics and possession of a handgun. Clark noted that Swift had allegedly performed a carjacking in Oakland and drove to El Dorado County. There was no information that he had to suggest stopping in El Dorado Hills was anything but random. They were “several weeks away” from making any decision on how to prosecute or what to seek in possible sentencing, lacking information on any previous jail time he might have had. “It’s a special circumstance case,” he concluded.
