Breaking News Kashmir: BSF camp removed before funeral of four civilians in Ramban...... The Border Security Force [BSF] camp at Dharam, in Ramban district of Jammu province, has been removed and replaced by the Jammu and Kashmir Police before the funeral of the four civilians who died in an incident of firing on Thursday. Informed sources in Gool and Sangaldan areas said that the company headquarters of BSF 76th battalion involved in the firing on a demonstration was vacated and replaced by the District Police and J&K Armed Police under the orders of the senior authorities on Friday morning. Superintendent of Police Ramban Javed Iqbal Matoo confirmed that the paramilitary formation guarding a railway tunnel has beenvacated. “The camp has been vacated fully and occupied by District Police and the ArmedPolice”, Mr Matoo said by telephone from Gool.He said that the funeral of all the four civilians was performed peacefully by 1100 hours on Friday. One each of the deceased was laid to rest at Salbala, Gundi, Gool and Dharam. Mr Matoo said that there was no disturbance around the funeral as the residents cooperated with the authorities even as their demands of action against the personnel involved in the firing were still under the consideration of the authorities. He said that assemblies of people staged peaceful demonstrations at a few places in Gool area. “However, entire Ramban district is peaceful. We have not imposed curfew anywhere in thedistrict”. Sources said that Special DG of BSF Dilip Trivedi called the officers of BSF 76 battalion for questioning to Chanderkot, about 10 Kms from Ramban on Srinagar Jammu National Highway. Mr Trivedi, who is conducting an inquiry under the orders of the Union Home Ministry, is currently in conversation with the officers of the company involved in the firing. Ceb
