Breaking a glass happens and I over react every time. Not because I will miss the stupid glass, not even that the kids may step on a piece but because if they do step on a piece of glass either they wont feel it and it will become infected OR they will feel it and removal will involve restraint and possible sedation. Under react or over react, thats just the truth. When people tell me that they think autism symptoms are just normal boy or growing up issues, I remind them that it is not the behavior (because yes, that is normal sometimes) its the INTENSITY. You just cant know unless you live with it daily.
